LIDO TV

Created and hosted by Lido Pimienta, LIDO TV is a true variety show, taking in guests, showing skits, and bringing on musical talent (not to mention the amazing talents of Lido herself). Definitely not a kids show, but also definitely not not a kids show, Lido is joined by multiple puppets and guests as the series explores normally heavy topics such as beauty, hate, privilege, and colonialism. The show is colourful, bold, honest, hilarious, and blunt in all the best ways, and I am so here for it. The episode on hate was a personal favourite, but am very looking forward to more, I so hope this gets renewed for future seasons. Currently only available digitally on CBC Gem, I would highly recommend for a fun, funny, and fundamental exploration of culture and values.
