Season of the Witch: The Secret Life of Jack's Wife (2005)
*** (out of 4)
This 17-minute interview with actress Jan White has her discussing her work on George A. Romero's SEASON OF THE WITCH and serves as the main extra on that film's DVD since Romero could remember very little about the production in his featurette (DIGGING UP THE DEAD). White starts off talking about how she got into acting and then goes into how she got the job by Romero but originally turning it down because she thought it was going to be a porno. She also talks quite a bit about the actual production including a few strange happenings that occurred when they tried to shoot certain scenes. White is pretty candid about the making of the movie and she's also quite open about her acting career not working out, how her first business turned into a disaster and she brings us up to date on what she's been doing since. I really enjoyed this featurette a lot more than the actual film because White comes across so charming and you can tell that she really enjoyed making the movie and that she hopes more people would get to discover it. Fans of Romero will want to check this out simply because there's not too much known about this production so having the main actress on hand to tell stories is quite special even if the main film itself is not.
