Brian Vander Ark, starring as President Dave Pellaton, is the lead singer of the Grand Rapids rock band, The Verve Pipe.
This is Duality Films first year of competition into the Detroit 48 Hour Film Project.
After a camera failure during the editing process on Day 1, Duality Films had to move to a backup camera for the duration of the competition.
In order to get the special effects right in such a short time frame, editor Kris Smith spent nearly the entire 48 hours awake and at his computer.
Duality Films and its team battled through temperatures in the 90s with high humidity, as well as the rain to complete the needed footage within the 48 hour time frame required for the competition.
