Filming of the project "In the Crossfire" has begun.
Ukrainian volunteer Vasyl Voronovskyi is handing over equipment from Canadian firefighters to the Makariv-32 garrison of the Kyiv Oblast State Emergency Service. Heavy fighting with the Russian invaders took place in their community. In addition to fighting fires, the garrison needs to rebuild part of its firehouse - after Russian shelling.
Vasyl gathers his friends - the film crew - and decides to go through training with the rescuers of Makariv-32 to become a full member of the team. He will face difficult training days, adventures, voyages, fighting the elements, fires and the consequences of the war, which is not over, and share the life stories of garrison members who have to live in a dilapidated area after the occupation.
