Absolutely Terrible
The entire problem with this show is that the reward differential for those that had resisted temptation and those that didn't was not great enough. That ruined the whole show.
I actually enjoyed this show at first but the ending was absolutely terrible and the message of the show by the end was absolutely terrible because of how the show was made and the rules it has.
It DEFINITELY needed a final twist and didn't have one, making it one of the most morally bankrupt shows I've ever seen. It should have had a twist where at the end the ones that gave in to temptation were told that actually that money came out of their own funds.
The vilest and most disgusting aspects of human behaviour like theft, no impulse control, lies, rationalisations carried out by the lowest and most reprehensible types of people are actually justified by the show which rewards sociopathic, anti-social and dysfunctional behaviour.

Unfairness to the strongestwilled
Lani was just horrible giving in to mostly all temptations and still walking away with 19,000 and Michelle ugghhh so irritating. James,Tahira and the one with the braids were the strongest and should have left with the full 25,000. Very unfair I will never watch this show again. Very frustrating to see .Why wasn't there a twist at the end like giving the strongest ones a trip for 2 to Africa for avoiding temptations. The 3 strongest deserved a better prize. 2000 to 3000 that is all that separated the strongest from the weakest. This show was very poorly made,it should have been thought through more. Shame on the producer.
light, forgettable relief
I found it faintly amusing to watch this bunch struggling through a pretty mild hike, complaining and whining the entire time.
Only Luke and Taheera never had anything and yet we hardly saw either of them. Neither of them had much to say or contribute to the group except to agree with everything James had to say. James, the strong and ethical leader who stole a teabag and sugar when the others were sleeping. Yes, that one. He cost the group the same as the ones that openly took the temptation. So there's that. He also never seemed to do any work or help around the camp, but we had to listen to his pompous, self righteous lectures on ethics.
As it turned out, they might as well have taken the temptations as is still cost them almost the same.
They could have had a little fun and a few unique experiences in a beautiful country along the way. After all, when would that kind of opportunity every occur again? They certainly weren't pleasant to watch. Not to say that the blatant weaknesses of Lani, et al were not irritating too.
Although the splitting of the cash at the end was a tad unfair, them's the odds when joining a show like this.

Entertaining
The progress of this is pretty predictable. Pit one person's values and ambitions against another or at least 12 of them.and the inevitable clashes emerge. Watching the consequences start emerging the entertainment starts big time. That's underpinned and driven by the personalities. We have. James practising being miserable and single minded , Carolyne making up meaningless philosophical sayings to support the moment as she wishes and somewhere in betwen Lani behaving like a spoilt child "I want a pastry" . It's also quite amusing how they see minor climbs and relatively short treks as exhausting and overwhelming but again the consequences of them realising they haven't just signed up for a walk around the block kicks of the entertainment.
Rant to these trash people
This is odd, 'tempting' fortune but it has them spending on whatever they want, they act like they need it, I don't like how everyone is ok with it, "let her have a $500 milkshake" like if I were old enough I would try to get in to prove their w-e-a-k selves wrong, its absolutely horrendous how they also get the same amount of money a person who spent not a dime would get, like this pos spent 200k and this dude bought nothing and he gets the same amount of money and the praise and acts like he deserves it and telling others to let loose and give in to temptation. They do not need the money, they are not struggling. Rich get richer and get the praise for it. Yes I am frustrated because these people are asses, they give into EVERY TEMPATION!
