Gandhi

I've been following Hansal Mehta's work for years, from *Scam 1992* to *Scoop* , and when I heard he was taking on *Gandhi*, I knew something special was coming. But even before its release, everything about this series screams quality.

From what I've seen and read, *Gandhi* isn't going to be a dry history lesson. It's a human story, of a man who wasn't born a Mahatma but *became* one through struggle, failure, and courage. The decision to cast **Pratik Gandhi** (no relation!) feels perfect, his acting range and sincerity make him ideal for such a layered role.

The production values look absolutely world-class. The fact that it premiered at **TIFF 2025** ,and even got a standing ovation ,says it all. You can feel the attention to detail: the authenticity of early 1900s London and South Africa, the multilingual dialogues, the immersive cinematography, and of course, **A. R. Rahman's** music adding soul to the story.

What excites me most is Hansal Mehta's approach, he doesn't make "hero worship" stories; he makes *truthful* ones. If this series does for Gandhi what *Scam 1992* did for Harshad Mehta, show both brilliance and flaws, then we're in for something remarkable.

It's bold, it's cinematic, and it might just redefine how the world sees Gandhi not as a saint on a pedestal, but as a human being who grew into one of history's greatest leaders.

I genuinely believe *Gandhi* could be India's biggest global OTT moment yet. Can't wait for it to stream hopefully soon on Sony LIV or whichever platform gets lucky enough to host it!
