Was a big fan of the first movie back in the days. But this movie destroys the whole charm of the first one. Really: every actor play like it was their first movie without acting classes, casted directly from street. Dialogs are very bad and sound very memorized without emotions. Sorry about that, could have been more.
Plot is dumb and very constructed. They should have left out the dialogs between Till and his daughter, because they are full of cliche and come over very unnatural.
Would have given 1 point, but soundtrack fixes a lot for me. The only point that gets the vibe from the first movie.

I don't believe the film would have done worse at the box office without the offensive and sexist jokes, since those were actually not the parts that most people laughed in anyways.
But the production quality is great. The sound design is great. The final race is very well done, nothing near fast and furious, but it still works nicely. Even though some people left in the middle of the movie, most people there had fun, but story wise, a lot just didn't make any sense.
The creators must be very glad about the fact that there is no cancel culture in Germany, because if there was, this movie would have had some serious troubles to face.

This is the first movie i couldn't finish and had to went out of the teather. While the first part had it's charme and the handwriting of a solid director in bernd eichinger, this is a total mess. I don't even know where to beginn with, it is just pure shame. It bugs me that i have to give at least 1 star for this pile of trash it isn't even worth a quater of a star.
Today news broke out that til schweiger the director and main actor was mainly drunk while filming and treathened the staff and even became violent. This just fits the whole picture. What a mess. The worst movie i ever say in my life by far.

As a 13-year-old in the middle of the 90s, I loved Manta Manta. Therefore, I would have been very happy about an unexpected sequel. In the cinema I was first full of anticipation, then horrified and shortly afterwards extremely angry about the almost two hours of crap.
Now I watched the movie Manta, Manta - Zwoter Teil again and stopped it after 40 minutes. The movie is so bad and not worth another second of lifetime.
I don't know what I find worse. The plot, the dialogues, the editing or the performance of Till Schweiger. All unbelievably bad and unworthy to be seen.
One star is three stars to much.

Of course this is a box office hit in Germany. Til Schweiger delivers what his fans want to see from him. A fart joke comedy with little to no story, no buildup, no grown, underdeveloped character strings and basically what German movie fans love to see. Great actors in underwhelming roles who don't get a chance to deliver any depth at all.
It's a cute story, some wise words get dropped occasionally, and I'm sure everyone will get at least 2 good laughs in, even women, considering how overly sexist and offensive some of the jokes are. I truly wish they'd have had at least one "aware", "cultural" or just "not ancient" person in this 7 men team of writers.
