Several people from the actual "No" campaign in Chile were hired to play members of the "Yes" campaign in the film.
On the Amazon.com page for this film, as of 2020 at least seven people have commented that their toddlers accidentally ordered it while playing with voice control remotes (for example: "My son keeps ordering this freaking movie with our fire stick because he'll press buttons and it'll hear me saying "no" in the background "). Unfortunately this resulted in the movie being penalized with low ratings by exasperated parents, even though the title choice is pertinent to the story.
Shot in the video support U-matic 3:4, which was used at the end of the 1980s, to give more realism.
Many active contributors to the "No" campaign had cameos as themselves for the movie. One of the most prominent ones was Patricio Aylwin, who would later become the first Chilean president after the Pinochet regime, in 1990.
