The Best Christmas RomCom in a long time!

    Category Rating (all out of 10) World 6.5 Visuals 7.7 Script 8 Story 7.5 Score 9 Characters 8 Pace 6 Outfits 9 Fun 8 Choreography 7.5 Overall: 7.72 rounds to an 8/10

Quick thoughts: The outfits starred, especially Layla & Teddy's lip-syncing contest tandem! I appreciated how the soundtrack slowly grew into the movie. Both Christina Milian and Devale Ellis nailed their respective roles, the professional divide kept the banter dry. Plus, I would love to run around a city doing side quests as an unknowing first date! The sets were the perfect pinch of Hallmark with a splash high-quality production to fulfill my holiday movie wishes. This silly rom-com will certainly be under my Christmas Tree this year!

    You never heard of Pentatonix?

If you have never heard of Pentatonix, you will by the end of the show. Actually, Pentatonix is a singing group from Arlington, TX. They were on a show called the Sing off and have been recording ever since. This movie features two actors that I'm very familiar with. One is Christina Milian. I love how she has turned into this Hallmark Christmas movie specialist. She is more versatile than that, but she has found a niche that works for her and I love that for her. The movie is somewhat predictable. It lacks some of the wit and punchlines that could have made it more memorable, but overall Christmas time is hear and I didn't hear Mariah Carey once in this movie because again, have you heard of pentatonix? I gave this movie a 7 strictly off my respect and appreciation for Christina Milian, been a fan a long time.

    Of course it's cheesy....

What rom com Christmas movie isn't cheesy? But it had it's moments, many comical ones. I found it entertaining enough, though I wouldn't go out of my way to watch again anytime soon. It is, however, better than most hallmark movies these days.

Kalen was hilarious, as usual. Loved his character.

The storyline was predictable, but most rom cons are.

Loved Pentatonix in it. They even had comical moments.

I'm not all that familiar with the other actors/actresses involved but they did ok. I didn't think it was bad acting, just typical storyline.

Give it a watch, decide for yourself. If nothing else, it kills some time, or would be great background noise.

Christmas romance is Christina Milian's genre

Yes, you can predict the twists and turns of this love story from a mile away-but isn't that exactly why we adore Christmas movies? The dramatic, over-the-top magic of holiday miracles is what makes them so endearing!

Christmas romance is Christina Milian's genre. In this movie, she takes us on a delightful Christmas escape to find the potential love of your life you crossed paths with a year ago. It's unlikely, but that's the magic of Christmas!

Adding the Pentatonix was the perfect touch to infuse us all with the holiday spirit! This easy-going Netflix original gave me all the cozy vibes I needed. Plus, I loved seeing the Black love interest bringing even more warmth to the story!

Overall, I'd say it's a solid 3 star out of 5-perfect for anyone wanting to kick back, relax, and believe in a little holiday magic!

    Surprisingly delightful....

    6.8/10 (7) (Definitely Recommend)

I was browsing all the streaming services for a movie to watch when this one caught my eye. Immediately after watching the trailer, I wanted to watch this movie. However, I didn't have very high hopes for it. In the end, I would say it only slightly exceeded expectations.

The only thing I'll say, that may spoil the movie slightly, is that I should've been more aware at the beginning. The ending was not what I was expecting until about halfway through the film.

While "Meet Me Next Christmas" isn't super unique in its storytelling, it's the chemistry of the actors and characters that make it an enticing watch. Christina Milian and Devale Ellis bond very really well together in the pursuit of a non-existent Pentatonix ticket. There's a fun bond between the two that makes you cheer them on as they seek that ticket.

There's a humanity to the story. It goes beyond a love story, but includes an emotional connection between strangers. It's the Christmas spirit that really gets it going. Plus, Pentatonix for me has always been associated with Christmas because that's the type of songs I first heard when I was introduced to them.

Overall, I really enjoyed this movie and I would definitely watch it again. I enjoyed the love and human connections. While it's not super Christmas-y in its storytelling, for some like me, it may get you into that Christmas type of feel. It's a cute romcom with great chemistry between the leads, and while it has aome parts that are weird, they eventually make the film work. The end end overall is that it may seem cheesy to some, to others I do believe you'll have fun with it.

That's it for now. Thanks for taking time to read my review. Happy watching and enjoy the show!
