Flordelis was convictted (2020) of ordering the murder of her husband in real life.
The film mobilized many artists who collaborated without charging a fee. It was announced that all proceeds of the film would be used in the construction of a rehabilitation center for young people and also to purchase a home for Flordelis, who still lives with the children that she took out of the streets.
A decade later after its release, writer and director Marco Antônio Ferraz disowned the movie after knowing about the murder case involving Flordelis in 2020.
