The Count: Love and Honor

It's so refreshing to watch a novela like this.

Yes, it is the classic The Count of Montecristo, but well adapted to the Mexico of the 1950's. Good acting, when a sensual scene is required is done with good taste. The do not have to go to the cringe hot scenes that are so popular now but cheapens the shows. This novela relies on the talent of the cast and the result is an excellent production. The detail of the scenery is so well taken care of, the custom designs are spot on, they even use some jargon used at the time that I heard my grandparents use XD. I hope Telemundo and Peacock keep doing these productions, specially my favorite, period novelas.

Stunning and captivating!!

A captivating glimpse into a bygone era, the first episode of this period drama sets the stage for an exciting and thrilling journey into the past. From the lavish costumes to the intricate set designs, every detail has been perfectly executed to transport viewers back in time to a world of intrigue, romance, and political machinations. Fernando Colunga's portrayal of the Count and the era's nuances was incredibly convincing - His performance truly showcasing his exceptional talent as an actor! Excellent and talented ensemble cast! With its stunning visuals, beautiful songs and a compelling storyline, the first episode leaves the viewers wanting more! Congratulations to Fernando Colunga and Team for a well made series!!
