A fine adventure featuring 7 and Mel.

The Seventh Doctor and Mel arrive in Pompeii a day before Vesuvius blows her top, and the Doctor is pretty much resigned to his fate because of what he knows must happen to Pompeii and (he believes) himself (and his TARDIS, due to latter day archelogical evidence). Melanie is having none of it, though, so she sets about doing whatever she can to save them. Bonnie Langford provides a fine performance and any Whovians still hating on her after this effort are just clinging to their perceptions and fixations of the 1980s when Mel wasn't given much to do in the series except scream. And while the story here is rather straight forward without many surprises, it was entertaining and the actors all gave excellent performances. This is the second Big Finish drama that I've listened to, and the production values in this one where much better, clearer, and cleaner. Worth a listen.
