Two de Force (2011)

Trivia

Two de Force

Edit
Written by Orestes Matacena as a 40 minute short. However, after the short was shot, Orestes decided to make it into a feature because he loved the story and was so curious after creating a cliffhanger ending that he had to write more.
Seventy percent of the movie takes place in Beijing, China, but it was shot entirely in California, due to the producers Orna Rachovitsky and Orestes Matacena's major budgetary constraints.
Orestes asked Digital Special Effects Artist, Cameron White, if he could do certain special effects. Cameron told him that whatever he wanted he could do. Orestes took Cameron's word literally and wrote the screenplay. When Cameron read the script, he was stunned at the amount of special effects that he had to do.
Actress Lee Chen was referred by her friend to director Orestes Matacena to audition for the role of the Chinese Chairman's wife who was already cast at the time. She is from China and has firearm and Shaolin Kung Fu experience. So Orestes wrote a part for her to fire a machine gun in the film. Orestes didn't give the actors the whole screenplay, just their scenes. All of Lee Chen's lines are in Chinese. Her machine gun also does a lot of talking! Lee's character is lean and mean!
