A Brilliant Film about SC History!

I was able to view this film as a private screening and I was skeptical of how this film would turn out as far as depicting the harrowing moment of the turmoils of the Delaines and Briggs' families, but the film manages to tackle the moments with respect and delicacy. It's also a beautifully shot film with his bright colors and nuances. As far as the performances most of the actors are not known but the actors were all standouts. It was a joy to feel like I was in the 1950s again and sadly relive some of the exact same racism I experienced growing up in the south! I rate this film a B+ only because I wished it was a little longer in length.

    A Great Historical Film!

This film does a great job of showing the hidden figures that helped change segregation of public schools in America! The actors in the movie were spot on and casting looked to be up to par. In most movies about this subject matter, it contains a lot of information that must be further researched in order to fully understand the story! The tragic moments in the Delaine's life ultimately led up to him leaving South Carolina after night riders shot up his house which is portrayed very well in this film! My only wish is that it was a little longer as I was wanting more at the end! As this looks to be a part of a series, I hope a sequel is in the works!
