My Sister's Serial Killer Boyfriend

Maddie and Olivia are sisters. One night, younger Olivia gets attacked by an intruder and they both end up taking self-defense classes to better protect themselves. Enter Haden, the sexy instructor, who becomes fixated on Olivia. Maddie also finds out as a reporter that there is an uncaught serial killer still at large. Maddie doesn't trust Haden since he's not on social media and she's a news reporter. When she starts investigating him, people around her start getting killed and she begins to believe Haden is behind all of the murders. But will Maddie be able to prove it and protect her sister who's falling for him? Good script and strong cast make this a nice Lifetime surprise to start the new year!!! Rib Hillis makes for a very good psycho. Definitely recommended!!!

This is an ensemble of the WORST ACTORS & characters that I've ever seen on Lifetime/LMN and I've watched a lot of Lifetime/LMN movies. It's so bad that I kept hoping the 2 leads would be the next victims. It was difficult to empathize with any of the characters as the acting was sooo bad (did I already say that?). I turned it off after 20 minutes. Is the current pool of actors so limited that they couldn't find anyone with real skills? Bring back the good actors and story lines. This could have been a very good movie, considering it is based on a true story. It's too bad Lifetime can no longer find real talent.

Let's start with the casting. Seriously?- the 52 year old Rib Hillis playing the guy the 20 something Revell Carpenter falls in love with?? There has to be some younger, more attractive actors that could have been cast in that role. Would be much more believable.

And Maddie sets the new record for climbing (not in bed this time, but still climbing) on a guy for sex when she has known him for, what, 10 minutes? Cmon. And the Jack angle is simply too unbelievable. He served absolutely NO purpose in this story. Guess they had to fill in some time.

Also, bring some reality. When it showed Maddie in the garage with the running car, she looked in and saw her purse and the car key fob laying on the seat. Impossible! Smart keys are smarter than people, they don't let themselves get locked in.

With some work (and a couple doses of reality) this could have been a good movie.

This was a really good scary film, which was a mystery thriller and also horror,. Right up my alley. There were twists. It didn't have any broken storylines but the opening was merely a sad flashback memory of the three sisters as children. The younger sister disappeared in a park while a creep lurked nearby. Many years later the two sisters grown up still traumatised by the loss of their baby sister. It has an impact on their lives, meaning the elder sister is more over protective of her remaining sister. It goes so far as to being paranoid about the men she meets in her life. She's a journalist who wants to protect, not just her sister, but also all the women from a serial killer. An impressive film.
