As I started to watch the first episode I found myself looking for the actors from the American series "The Office" and trying to match who's who. As soon as I stopped this comparison I started to actually like this show. It's funny even though it's totally obvious how they're trying to copy jokes from the American version.
I would like to see more creativity and Saudiness.
An interesting point for me is relationships. Are they going to copy them too? They obviously can't show intimate scenes but the ideology of having an affair in the office in our standards is just out of the question. Can't wait to see what you're cooking for us!
Overall, it's a good attempt. You got a viewer!

Every line, every scene It's like a "Youtube" Sketch made for kids..
you can make so many jokes in "The Office vibes" but the writing and the cast is not good enough... made the scenes awkward in a cringy way not in a funny way.
I know "The Office" well. And I know what in their mind, they copied the characters not being the character.. the roles don't fit the people they picked.. I don't know if there was an audition for this show.. or just they were like "I know a guy who knows a guy"
"Albutairi" played his role well.. the director is good.. the lighting was perfect. The sound engineering is awful.

Compared to other international versions of The Office, this version definitely comes second-best (the US one being the first).
Obviously, some people in the reviews don't understand the concept of "adapting" a series format and, as a result, missed the mark completely.
"Al Maktab" managed to perfectly utilize the visual style of The Office using the show's signature angles and editing. It also managed to capture the show's cringeworthy sense of humor using jokes and dialogue relevant to both modern times and Saudi office culture.
I say kudos to the whole team behind this very entertaining production, and I hope people are more supportive of such amazing Saudi talents.

First thing to do if you want to do a spin-off of the office is to put so much effort into finding a local talent to represent Michael Scott, and they failed miserably at that. The lead actor is robot-like, with not so-genuine reactions and body movements. He tried so hard to mimic Michael without fully understanding who Michael is, who he represents, or what he stands for. He carried so much pride into the role that he ended up being stupidly cringy and not real. Hey, my opinion might be harsh but I'm pretty sure I speak for lots and lots of viewers. If you want any hope of making this show trendy or gain any serious viewership, get rid of "Michael Scott".
Watched it immediately as I'm a big the office fan. But couldn't watch more than 15 minutes!!!
I have no problems with doing spin-off but please add your own touch to reflect creativity and talent not copy every thing even the office decor which is not relevant to ours at all. Also adding characters to reflect our Saudi community is not enough, your jokes are absurd and some are out of line and I don't think they are common in Saudi workplaces.
There are more talented actors out there they could've picked.
Cringe to watch and disappointing. I was expecting more from a young talented people.
Please don't do season 2.
