SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab

A Game That Tributes The Classics

Spongebob SquarePants: Creature From The Krusty Krab is not as fun as the previous ones before this, but is still a decent game. At first, I was interested in this game because it's the game version of the SpongeBob episode, Sleepy Time, and I was the most excited to explore the dreams from all the characters we know and love. But what has let me down is the dreams we would only see are the playable characters of three, making a your typical character driven story. Some of the disappointment would same go to a little bit of the gameplay. Mostly from the pacing of it. The most the game would do is just end the sequence, get to saving, and move on to the next scene on that level instead of properly taking its time. But despite this is a bit disappointing, it can still be pretty fun. The graphics are pretty awesome how they tribute the classic genres from both the 50s and 60s from each level we see. The mini games are something to have fun with after scenes of levels. The Plankton element has given a great inspiration from Sleepy Times. And the three endings the game would present are all hilarious. This is worth playing for SpongeBob fans, but I can also say this game has based on the episode. If you think this is a good idea turning the episode into a game, you'll probably have fun with it. There would be better ways to make the idea work and make it even better than the episode it was based on. But even if it's not a lot what I have expected, it's still a decent game.
