From 2011 to 2015 the series bore the surname 'Heiter bis tödlich' (cheerful to deadly) which was a crime format on German television with various crime series. 'Heiter bis tödlich' was abolished, but because 'Hubert and Staller' was so successful, the series was continued at its own name.
Hubsi never wears his uniform hat; Hansi almost always wears his.
Was originally titled "Hubert und Staller", but was renamed when the actor playing Staller, Helmfried von Lüttichau, left the series.
