Former Miss India Sarah-Jane Dias was signed for one of the two female lead characters, making her Telugu film debut.
The soundtrack of the movie had received rave reviews, and many of the songs became chart busters, while the title track 'Panjaa' was reported to be the song of the year into Telugu film industry for the year 2011.
