If you miss. rez Dawgs, give it a go!
It's SUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH an underrated show!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait for season 3.
If you watched Reservation Dawgs and miss the banter, this might do the trick. I see it as more of a lower budget sitcom version of it. Even if maybe only the main character is in sitcom mode (I totally get what another reviewer said about him acting as if he was doing voice over).
What I really appreciate is when a show about indigenous peoples includes music by native artists as well. The intro song has captured my heart.
Overall, I enjoy being able to research the things that I don't understand, just to find out they're actually indigenous traditions/pop culture/beliefs. This show also does this well.
Love that it plays in Canada.
I LOVE THE NATIVE PEOPLE!!!
LAND BACK NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Potential with missed opportunities and a poison lead
I really want to like this show. There are some really endearing and funny characters in it, but one particular character ruins the run - the lead Paul played by Paul Rabliauskas. There is nothing redeemable and likeable about his character. I could be laughing and enjoying the show but then his character comes on and I'm completely taken out of the scene and just angry and annoyed by it. You can have a comedy and incorporate character growth - Schitt's Creek is a great example of that. Those characters started of despicable but have a delightful development arc and you end up loving them by the end. However, this show lacks that. I continued to watch to give the show a chance in hopes for development, but overall, it remains two dimensional and ridged for characterisations. There was so much potential to write in more moments of vulnerability and personal growth that would have given the show more warmth and likability. It feels a bit like a live action South Park recreation with Hartman as the lead. Acting Good gets dangerously close to dehumanising the characters in search of a low quality laugh. I've watched up to the first half of season four and it looks like my favourite cast member Rosanne Supernault who plays Jo is not coming back. Her arc was what I enjoyed but without her to balance Paul, its getting disheartening. Avery Sutherland's Chickadee is mostly a step in the right direction but sometimes comes too close to the Paul ick realm. I am really pleased to see the show incorporates LGBTQ+ representation. I love supporting Indigenous and Canadian media, but it is becoming harder to do so with this show. Paul Rabliauskas may have helped create this show, but he is certainly tearing it down scene by scene.
I can only hope they make a change to the format. It isn't too late to give this show a beating heart.

This Show Is About As Racist As They Come
Wow! The advertising for this show is so below the belt. I wish I could go lower than a 1 star rating and giving Acting Good a 2 star rating is just me being polite but I don't even know just what the hell the writers were smoking when they thought of this but it's just not good at all.
"Awwe! The little white girl wants to get started!"!
The actors in this show are just not acting good at all. I just want to not vomit every time I see the ads for this show but I might just do that.
Who writes shows like this. At the very least the actors can pretend that they're funny. It's just not funny..

This show makes me "homesick"
I can tell that a few of the negative reviews were probably written by a bunch of white people who have never experienced living in an indigenous community. I used to be the "Brody" in Aklavik way up in NWT and this show is so relatable to my experience of Ak and the wonderful community and friends I've made up there. This show makes me miss Aklavik more than I normally do and the characters are so relatable and endearing. I honestly hope it gets renewed as I was looking forward do a new epi every week when it was airing on cable. I love the humor and jokes and I'm worried it about its renewal as not everyone gets it. Get it renewed I need a new season !!
Inept writing with no discernable humour
There's absolutely no reason to watch this rubbish.
The producers obviously took advantage of the complaints about a lack of IPOC on television to pitch this dreck to the networks and the fools at CTV bit on it even though they had to have known it was a stinker.
It's so bad it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out the network had to pay the sponsors.
Why this wreckage qualifies as a comedy is anybody's guess; the alleged writing is juvenile and I would say the humour is forced expect there is zero humour, the characters are unlikeable and the actors playing them are, to be charitable, wooden.
As others have indicated a negative rating would be more appropriate for this mess.
