The massive hit song "Oceano" by Djavan could never had an appropriate or interesting music video made for it. Called as "the perfect song"
by many listeners and music specialists, the song contains an elevated lyricism that challengers listeners and students during exams when asked about
an interpretation of it, as the poet makes deep analogies and metaphors concerning what love truly means. Many visual elements, feelings and places are
described, and each listerner can form their own view when hearing the great composition, and not just with the words and voice but also with its melody and
intrsuments being played - which includes the unforgettable flamenco guitar solo by Paco de Lucia.
No clip could ever do justice to "Oceano", but one was needed as the song became one of the most played out songs in Brazil, becoming a trademark for Djavan to include in future performances. The clip didn't turn out to be like those "Fantástico" early music videos that always presented an artist singing or playing in a simple manner. This one manages to throw some artistic elements, mixing Djavan's performance along with a shadowy woman dancing and making hand and arms gestures against a background that goes from day to night. It's watchable, but definitely more worth hearing it. 8/10.
