An absolutely wonderful summer romance! Light, sweet and brings all the good feels of a great rom-com! The acting was first rate! The cinematography beautiful! Really enjoyed that the movie focused on the two main characters, Sahra and Deniz, though there were strong contributions by the supporting cast. As all rom-coms, the audience knows that the story ending will be a happy one. But that doesn't take away from the romance that unfolds and brings the story together.
Highly recommend the movie for everyone!
The Turkish title to the movie is Sen Inandir. Not to be confused with Inandir Beni.

This is a cute Turkish film that falls within the parameters of a Hallmark film without strictly being called a Hallmark film. The chemistry between the leads Ayça Aysin Turan (Sahra) and Ekin Koç is perfect. From the moment of the their reunion to the moment of their bond is all built up beautifully. The film still holds a certain cheesiness to it, but it works. I truly enjoyed the exoticness of not the middle of nowhere USA. For me it's hard to grasp the full emotion of the film as I get distracted from reading the subtitles, but I catch myself appropriately and the emotional moments are still touching despite having to switch between reading words and seeing the visual cues.
Thanks to a friend I've been trying to get myself more into foreign films and expand my genres and taste. This is one film I am definitely happy I checked out. It's perfect for a cuddle night on the couch. The build-up is good and the story works out to a tee. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a romcom that's a little fresh.
That's all for now. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Until next time.... Enjoy the show!

Turkish cinematology is on the rise and Netflix's new movie Make Me Believe - filmed in the beautiful northwestern Turkey is the perfect romantic Friday night movie.
Sahra and Deniz used to be childhood friends, hanging out at their grandma's house but now years later they meet again and they despise each other. Their meddling grannies try all sort of tricks to bring the two together. Will they succeed?
I like the non complicated storyline and the realistic personalities of the characters and the beauty of Turkey is absolutely overwhelming. The emotions were not all over the place (as it happens so often in other Turkish movies), the main characters slowly let us see into their hearts and motivations.
Even though the storyline is predictable and some of the actors play is adequate, it is a sweet and nice summery romance and it's definitely worth a watch.

The meddling grandmothers of Sahra and Deniz have decided enough is enough. Their two grandchildren were the best of friends growing up, until one summer when it seems that they could have been more, and afterwards it's clear to everyone that they are avoiding one another. Sahra has a rival at work and is desperate to get an exclusive interview with a reluctant and reclusive photographer. Coincidentally and unbeknownst to Sahra, Deniz is the reclusive photographer she is desperate to interview. The meddling grandmother's bring the two to their neighboring homes at the same time to attempt to get them talking again...and ultimately nature takes its course.
Ekin Koc, who plays Deniz, really makes this movie for me. His character is very romantic and how he shares his continued love for Sahra just squeezed my heart. Absolutely gorgeous seaside backdrop for this romance and Ayça Aysin Turan who plays Sahra is lovely.
I think fans of romance will enjoy this story and it is a recommendation to those romantics who are ok watching a film in Turkish.

Make me believe
Turkish movie factory is now progressing very well with very 'generic ethnicity' movies with this movie produced mainly in Assos or Behram a very beautiful place and beach around 6 km N from Lesbos Ayca the main character is a very beautiful woman similar to the Hindi Aishwarya featured as Shahra a very demanding magazine asked by her boss to interview Deniz. Deniz featured by Ekeein is a well known but hidden photographer who rejects to be interviewed He knows himself very well that he feels quite poor in discussing face to face with journalists.
They are neighbors from the past and though the lived together they never were friends or lovers , t add to that their funny grannies tried once again to make them join again will they get in love? Tis is a difficult experiment with two strong personalities This is one typical romcom movie with loits of nice humor beautiful women and men and a good story onw of the feew romcoms I liked well Relatively slow pace but good even a bit cheesy dialogues Both characters have a good chemistry Rate 7/10.
