Tomo Aizawa is very much a tomboy. She is also in love with Junichiro, a boy she has been friends with since childhood. One day she plucks up the courage to tell him but he misunderstands, it doesn't cross his mind that she meant it romantically rather than as friends. She persists in trying to get him to see her as more than just a friend but things never seem to go her way.
I thought this series was a lot of fun. There are plenty of laughs to be had in every episode. The characters are solid, as well as Tomo and Junichiro there is Misuzu, Tomo's sadistic friend and Carol, a bubbly girl of British ancestry. The character designs are good; I like the fact that Tomo is in no way androgynous; so the fact that she is a girl isn't disputed, it is just her tomboyish behaviour. Overall a really fun series that I'd certainly recommend to any anime fan looking for a good laugh.

This was a nice romance with great comedic timing and plenty of fun characters. It finds a nice balance between it's main couple and it's side characters in a way that none of it gets boring. The side characters in particular were the highlights of the show. Gundo, particularly, was a great character who was very savage and funny initially, and she also has a great character arc till the end. The show also had this non-linear type of storytelling where it keeps going back and forth to show what all has happened between these characters before and in what order. While that keeps the show interesting, it did limit their progress and interactions during the present. I do think this show took a sudden change of tone, to a emotional one, after a hilarious initial set of episodes.
Tomo-chan is a Girl! Is a charming and funny anime that follows the everyday lives of Tomo and Jun as they navigate their feelings for each other. The show does a great job of balancing comedy and romance, and the characters are all likable and relatable. Tomo is a particularly well-developed character, and her journey of self-discovery is both heartwarming and hilarious.
The animation in Tomo-chan is is simple but effective, and the character designs are expressive and memorable. The show's soundtrack is also great, with a mix of upbeat pop songs and more mellow acoustic tracks.

This is my favorite show of the year! For starters, the comedy is great and guaranteed to make you laugh. The story was originally told in a 4-panel comic format, so there is no shortage of little gags and punchlines. But don't get the wrong idea, the show is able to dive into characters backgrounds, their thoughts and feelings, show their strengths and flaws. We get to see characters have significant character development as they learn about themselves and others and reflect on their mistakes.
It is refreshing to have a story where you aren't shouting at the screen, "Just tell him/her how you feel! Just say it!" (Not a spoiler, it's the opening scene/premise for the show) In the very first opening scene, Tomo confesses her love for Jun, but Jun friendzones her. So instead of the "should I tell him/her" "I want to tell him/her" narrative, it instead is about how Tomo is trying to be more girly to get Jun to notice her as more than "one of the guys" or "bro."
I greatly enjoyed the beautiful animation. Every scene, background, object, and of course character is beautifully drawn. I have listened to the English dub, and the voice acting was great and really brought the characters to life. I will be rewatching the series in Japanese with English subtitles soon.
I really enjoyed this anime, and I think you will too. Give it a try!

Meh I really dig this anime like literally all things were like in shot, life boring when you try so hard to find meaning and acknowledgement only to have it thrown at your face like you're not worth it that's like the kill joy of everything, no one should feel like that but this is reality nothing goes as planned that why we fight for it in this case sometimes we need our friends to fight along side us that's when we're at our strongest than wen we're formidable the key thing I learnt here while watching was go for it even if it's your last breath of that wrong I stand to be characters cause the logic what's mine is mine and that's the stairs of tomo I like stories like this cause the other guy didn't get what he wanted.
