Takes place between the events of Resident Evil 4 and 5.
Its sequel, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, actually has nothing to do with this game story-wise, it is however connected by its tone and structure. Both Revelations games take place between two main entries, they both follow an episodic structure, they both harken back to the series' survival-horror roots, and they both feature an arcade style "Raid Mode" unique to this sub-series.
Remastered for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in 2017.
Originally released for the Nintendo 3DS on January 26th, 2012, but was ported to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U May 23rd, 2013.
