James Cameron talks with the panel about the presence of the Californian only six miles away from the Titanic, and what could have been done to save more of the Titanic's passengers and crew. However, in his film Titanic (1997), the Californian is never mentioned. The Californian does figure prominently in another Titanic film, A Night to Remember (1958).
This television documentary is featured on the special features disc for the Blu-ray of the blockbuster Titanic (1997), released in 2012.
