What if you got a second chance at your life
This starts out as a story of what might have been if you made every right choice, took every right chance in your life. And if you could grab that opportunity but you had to bend the rules a wee bit... would you succeed?
It's warm and fuzzy and yes, a totally bonkers plot.
But if you look past that it's also a story about friendship, courage and never giving up on your dreams... or yourself.
Roberts is so lovable in this, you can't help but root for her. Her redemption arc is obviously as far fetched as they come but it's still so entertaining. Hopper and Union perform really well as the strait laced duo against Roberts more free living character.
I liked it for what it was. Goofy, implausible, escapism.

Fun movie...
"Space Cadet" is a Comedy movie in which we watch a party girl entering the NASA space program without having the right qualifications but trying her best in order to succeed.
I enjoyed this movie despite its crazy plot. It had plenty of funny moments and both the direction and writing which were made by Liz W. Garcia were simple but good enough to make it interesting and enjoyable. The interpretation of Emma Roberts who played as Rex Simpson was simply hilarious and she did a great job. Some other interpretations that have to be mentioned were Poppy Liu's who played as Nadine Cai, Tom Hopper's who played as Logan O'Leary and Desi Lydic's who played as Dr. Stacy Kellogg. To sum up, I have to say that "Space Cadet" is a nice comedy and I am sure you will laugh and have a great time watching it.

Dude just let go
This is not a movie to be taken serious, but it is fun, just that, fun. It is heart warming, funny, and relatable, even when it's not and that what makes it so. I honestly believe this will become one of those comedy cult classics in years to come. It doesn't deviate from anything that it isn't but, that's what makes it good, and what creates classics. You just need a funny cast, a cool enough story to vibe with, and something that gives it that it factor to relate to everyone. I truly believe this is going to be a cult classic. Let's get the bad reviews out of the way so ten years from now we can talk about how silly and enjoyable this was.
Who thought of this ?
This movie is very below average. The premise is that the main character Rex is very smart but did not go to college so now works at a bar. She sees a successful person from her past and that gives her motivation to finally follow her dreams and become an astronaut. She wrote an application then her friend changed it to make it seem like she qualified so she would get in once she does the movie starts. The main point of this is the comedy and the jokes were poor. I laughed one time which was at the treadmill scene. I don't know if the acting is terrible or if the directing is to blame but either way I don't like it to add on that the lines are stupid. Everything that happens from beginning until the end is totally illogical and generally stupid. Lastly the pacing sucks. The only reason I gave this a 5 star rating is because it was entertaining enough.
Ridiculous Yet Entertaining: A Lighthearted Tale of Dreaming Big Despite the Absurdity
This movie was nonsensical but entertaining in a mindless way. At its core, it carries an inspiring message about not giving up on your dreams, no matter how hopeless life may seem, and encourages viewers to dream big.
However, if you take it seriously, you'll find yourself frustrated by the countless unrealistic aspects. For instance, how does a prestigious organization like NASA not require actual certificates or conduct thorough document checks? And how is she flying a jet with zero knowledge or experience?
It's utterly ridiculous, but if you don't overthink it, it's a fun watch that ultimately encourages kids to dream big and pursue their goals.
Honestly, maybe most of us writing the reviews are NOT the target audience and therefore have this view so I am not being too harsh on my ratings.
