Poor acting , poor camera work, poor cgi. Was never able to immerse into the story, didn't care if the characters lived or died, nor for their trials and tribulations. Stilted dialog that did not come across as natural. When I first looked at the offering, there was no review and no rating. IMDB now has a 5.7 and I hope it was an honest mistake and they thought they were rating a different film called "Shelter" otherwise I would view the ratings as suspect. I am not a film production expert, but this looks like something I did during my high school days, and while those we did had their flaws and utilized stop action for special effects, not knowing anything about production, I could have made this film if I too was not able to coach the actors to act in a believable manner.
This popped up on Tubi and I like to give obscure, indie films a try, so I thought, why not? Oof, but this was bad. Looks like they had a budget of $52, rounded up a few friends, and started filming a movie on their phone. Terrible acting, terrible writing, absolutely flat. They also seem way too normal and cheery for the end of the world. Sometimes the actors look like they're trying not to laugh through this apocalyptic joke of a film.
Don't waste your time. It's not even interesting enough to be hilariously bad. It's just boringly, terribly awful. I think I enjoyed the commercials in between more than the movie itself.

This is one of the worst films that I have forced myself to watch to date! I have a rule if I hit play I have to watch it all the way to the end. I almost couldn't do it for this film. The camera work was terrible!! The cast was even worse. The lines were pathetic. The entire thing was just horribly put together from beginning to end. It was as if NO ONE in any position making this film (writers, cast, csa, editors, producers, ect.) got any part of this low budget film right @ all. Still wondering about scenes that had no point to them @ all or even how no one on the set nor editing could see the microwave & oven had digital time on when the power was off. Just a pathetic film all the way around.

"Shelter," directed by Alexander T. Hwang, is a sci-fi drama that runs for 1 hour and 22 minutes. The film has received mixed reviews, with an IMDb rating hovering around 5.7. It features a cast that includes Jessica Cameron as Karen, Sadie Katz as President, and Michael Jon Murphy as David, among others Wow, this was just awful. Unrealistic,. Karen was an idiot, and her husband for listening to her. It didn't even show what happened to her husband, suddenly, he was not there anymore, and they talked like he was dead. I could make a better movie with an iPhone and people off the street, Why does imdb require reviews to be six hundred words. I do not need that many words to tell you that this movie sucks. DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME!
