A young alchemist struggles to resurrect the old west town of Celeb's Folly but in doing so, finds his family now in jeopardy. As tensions build, the Blood Moon Rises, accompanied by the howling of wolves and the promise of bloodshed.

The old west town of Caleb's Folly a mining town situated a few miles from an old silver mine. The mine, long ago ceased to produce much, and the town has been dwindling ever since. Caleb's Folly still does a roaring trade in drinking, gambling, and prostitution, and there are rumors of "deep veins" of silver buried somewhere near the town. Caleb's Folly is unofficially ruled by Cole Blackwood, a ruthless, intelligent, and powerful outlaw figure who controls everything of value within the town. Cole rose to prominence years earlier in a series of bloody bank robberies where the culprits (Cole and his gang) were never apprehended. Cole himself was long suspected of the crime spree (and the various murders which accompanied with it), however it was never proven. While Blackwood governs the town and controls all business interests in and out of Caleb's Folly, Wade Pickett and his "Pickett Men" control mines and settlements to the north and west of the town. Pickett and Blackwood routinely clash as they jostle for control of the region, both men ruthless and efficient, both constantly searching for each other's weaknesses. A young alchemist named Clyde Grayson struggles to resurrect the Old West town of Celeb's Folly by discovering a means of transmuting common stone into silver. Desperate to crawl out from beneath the grip of the cruel outlaw named Cole Blackwood who runs the town, Clyde strikes a deal with a competing interest, Wade Pickett, but soon finds his plan discovered and his young family now in jeopardy. With her young boy taken as collateral, the alchemist's wife Bailey Grayson takes matters into her own hands, calling on the dark secrets of her family to aid her in her time of need. The Blood Moon Rises to the howling of wolves and the promise of retribution.
