The movie effectively portrays women in powerful societal roles, gradually revealing the extent of their influence. Something that we miss in most of our cinema.
Loved how it tackles caste and social dynamics head-on, offering a nuanced perspective. The characters are depicted with realistic complexity, avoiding clear-cut distinctions between good and bad.
Additionally, the film is likely to pass the Bechdel test. That was fantastic
Thank you Prithvi Konanur!

Finally got to watch it today and that too because the film is now uploaded on youtube because well OTT players and their hypocrisy. I liked the film and definitely regret missing out on watching this early this year when I did get the chance. Prithvi Konanur's Hadinelentu deals with a sensitive issue involving two seventeeners and how the adults handle the issue which would impact the kids future directly. The realistic approach, the sensitive handling of the subject and the natural performances, had me impressed. Ofcourse the known faces amongst the starcast was always reassuring and these big names carried the film through.
Kudos to the director and team for the making, staging of the scenes by restricting much of it inside a room and lesser close up shots until necessary. The turns the case takes post interval was top notch. The mystery behind that board president added much more to the drama than bringing that character on screen. Ofcourse it's all about perspectives and the narrative builds on that by revealing each individual's take on the girl. Praises for that one courtroom scene as well and for not deviating from the harsh reality. It's a battle Deepa's character has to fight eventually and shedding light on the events that led her to it was deftly handled. Strongly recommended.

We had a great Sunday evening at Pollack theatres in Arizona. We not only watched the film, but also interacted with the movie artists.
This film must not be missed as it brings to limelight perineal problems of the society pertaining to younger generation, the caste system and the disparity of opinion between authorities that impact decision making. The credible and compelling theme; the genuine setting and characterisation; and the well sequenced events engrosses the audience to an extent that they forget about the intermission and music.
The characterisation is genuine. Whether it is a college principal, a staff, a student, a parent, a stakeholder, or police constable, each one's concern, their stress and their struggle to find a solution feels genuine and believable.
The only refinement may be needed in the audio in a few scenes and a few shaky slides.
The movie leaves the audience debating over a thought provoking and a strong message. The audience is also seen anxious to see the next twist and imagine a solution.

Watched it at the Kerala International Film Festival.
The film has a solid script. With a twist every 5 minutes, it runs like a thriller and moves at a decent pace. Deals with a number of pertinent issues without ever becoming preachy or taking up activism.
Pros: The acting is solid from everyone. The screenplay is sturdy. Dialogs are very very real.
Cons: Production value could have been better. But it's understandable given the low budget. Camera Work could have been slightly better. Also the duration can be reduced a bit.
Verdict: A well written, a well directed, extremely well acted solid drama that works for most parts.
Special shout out to the lead actress, the vice principal, the principal, the activist lawyer, the judge and the college students who rebel.

Beautiful movie handled very sensitively, no long boring scenes, to the point , 100% in touch with reality. New actors have done a great job and the direction and story is so good that you don't need any fancy stars or songs to carry the movie.
The college authorities are genuine and reminds one of our college days and dealing with professors and such. The teenagers have essayed their roles with great maturity and keeping it to the point
All roles large or small make an impact including the court announcer with the funny case calling which I think is again very real to life
Kudos to entire team for taking up a difficult subject and presenting it with such care that makes you want a sequel.
