Lesbian Mentors 1: Older Women, Younger Girls

Nica Noelle's variation on the durable May/December romance theme gets under way swimmingly in this feature, a series of 4 well-cast Sapphic vignettes.

I had just watched the horrible mainstream porn movie from Australia SLEEPING BEAUTY, a tedious throwback to '60s soft-core but from a pretentious feminist (and fatally minimalist) angle. That crappy film, which was marketed to film festival audiences and critics as "art", celebrates Thanatos and with Emily Browning (notoriously bad in such clunkers as SUCKER PUNCH and POMPEII) as central jail-bait it was one of the dullest features I've seen in ages. It provided a vivid contrast to LESBIAN MENTORS, in which Noelle celebrates Eros.

Gimmick (to set up its stupid "surprise ending") of SLEEPING is to cast a succession of old geezers, each with requisite snow-white hair, to manhandle Browning as she lies comatose, catching her quota of drug-induced zzzzz's as an erstwhile prostitute. Noelle minimizes age differences but makes it clear in her erotic videos the contrast between experience and innocence, and its dramatic power in a vignette.

Opener does have significant age differential as hall of famer Nina Hartley dishes out loving punishment to ne'er-do-well student Ariel X (who unless she was a member of the Black Panthers is automatically suspect with that surname). This is a course in obedience, of which Nina (as well as her director/hubby Ernest Greene) is an expert. The dom/sub spanking, fingering, strap-on and sit on her face action is an engrossing combination of sexiness and kinkiness that gives the feature immediate bite.

Michelle Lay has a more conventional lesbian tryst with the intriguing Mina Meow, a striking performer who has not achieved the career she deserved. The romance that develops after Lay rents the girl a room is predictable but sensuously executed.

Sparks fly in Vignette 3 when busty MILF veteran Nicole Moore asks Sinn Sage to move out, since she's getting a divorce and leaving her home (rather than kicking hubby out as Sinn suggests). Fans won't be surprised at Sinn's persuasive powers and this segment benefits from the switcheroo in that the mentor is the young woman (Sage) for a change. It's a well- paced session, notable for Sinn's second wind after the orgasms have seemingly died down.

Finale spotlights another underutilized young star Tera Dice, who's had disappointing relationships with both sexes. Her good friend Shayla LeVeaux (whose career spans over two decades) suggests perhaps sex between friends is the answer, and though reluctant Tera gives it a try, with successful results.

A satisfying program, launching a successful series with meat & potatoes lesbian porn delivered to the fan base.
