    The Occupiers

The Occupy Movement is an international protest where people are standing up for a fair and balanced structure of the financial system that controls the economy worldwide. It started in New York and soon other cities and countries joined the movement. Because of the huge impact that protesters have generated Occupy Movement is an historical event that must be documented. After experiencing and studying the Occupy Movement in class and on the streets of Boston, John Forrester, a journalism student from Emerson College, decided to follow and then to create a film of Occupy Boston with help of a classmate, John Leachy. They showed the point of view and thoughts of the "occupiers" during their protests. The ninety minutes film was premiered at the Bill Bordy Theater on March 1, 2012 in front of an audience of more than one hundred of people; Students, faculty from Emerson College and even some "occupiers'. The film, without any politic intention, traced the path of few protesters of Occupy Boston: Mike, David, Robin and Allie. Even though some technical problems during the premiere made that the movie were projected almost an hour late, the audience supported and cheered the effort of the directors all times. Moreover, after the screening the audience seemed to have enjoyed and learned a lot from the documentary. Despite the technical problems with the hard-drive of John Forrester, the director, he was able to say some words to the audience, while entertaining us and telling us some anecdotes of his filming experience.

Funny Idea.... cute satire about the super rich

Ruth Madoff is probably laughing at this short comedy written and starring the wonderful Blanche Baker. It's low budget- quick shoot-one set. Ruth Madoff has been cast out of her lush penthouse into a harem-like tent on Wall Street and is interviewed by a large reporter. The gaffes and jokes are like watching a sketch comedy routine on Comedy Central. It works and hope to see the further adventures of Ruthie. Baker is a very good comedic actor here. Funny and timely, with a bit of satire mixed in. The set design and costume is a real eye opener with Ruthie dressed in her minks. The Jeraldo Rivera-like reporter is utterly perplexed by her obnoxiousness. Mre to come I hope..
