Banjo was inspired and based on a life threatening event that happened in June 2011. Director Liam Regan lost over a pint of blood during a sexual accident whilst staying over night in a hotel situated in the middle of London, he decided the situation would make a great premise for a horror film.
Shot in 1080p HD on the Canon HV40 MiniDV camcorder using a 35mm adapter and Nikon 50mm lens.
Shooting began in November 2011. Although, issues with the lead actress stopped production and all footage had to be scrapped. Principal photography resumed five months later with a different lead actress and wrapped in April 2012.
Shot over four days in South Yorkshire, UK during Easter weekend 2012.
