    Much more than a Movie

Watched this short film many times and every time it touches the emotion and makes you overwhelmed. Perfect direction. Captured genuine emotions, genuine Punjab rural home setting. Simply a masterpiece.

The actors, the background music, the voice modulation are so heartfelt that it makes you teary eyed. It is very difficult to control your emotions during this film. One can relate to this movie very easily as if you have gone through this situation of forgiveness with your parents.

Highly commendable performance by everyone who were part of making this short film.. A must watch movie. I have watched it more than 10 times. Highly recommended movie. Kudos to all!

    Gut wrenchingly emotional

Deeply authentic characters and a truely innovative twist makes an otherwise traditional peemise come alive; all packed into an unbelievable 25 minute short story.

Very accurate setting where the house resembles exactly the kind of house that one would find in rural North India. The setting gives power to the plot.

Dialogues were incredibly honest and subtly talks about a lot of issues without being in your face. In today's political climate, such films should be viewed by all young Indians and parents.

No words can give justice to the praise I wish to give to the actors!

We absolutely cannot wait to see more from the writer, Hemant Singh!

Great watch with just one flaw.

Birha is a great watch that will stay with you for a long time. The film looks great and had an authentic Punjabi setting. The performances are great expect Rajit Kapur's Punjabi accent. Every frame is good and captures the sense of longing and guilt and difference between a father and son. The cinematography and sound design are well-crafted. The background music uplifts the film. The dialogues are very apt. A must watch short available on JioCinema. The director has crafted this short with his whole heart and I'm looking forward for what he makes next. Overall, a great short and highly recommended if you are a fan of emotional and heart touching tales.
