If you are looking for a good action movie, this is the one! It has everything: action, comedy, suspense until the end without being bored. It's worth it! I recommend this movie! Even you are not into Korean movies or kdrama, this movie catch your attention, because of the story line, the actors are great!
Their acting skills are impressive along with the stunts performed and the plot of the movie it's intriguing, also continues the story line from Confidential Assignment 1: 2017.
PS: I also recommend to watch first part of Confidential Assignment 1: 2017, in order to have a better picture of the story line, before watching the second part.

Highly disappointing. Each and every aspect associated with the movie feels unpolished and shallow, from acting to direction and from music to storyline. It's prequel was much much better compared to this, this movie is just unable to hold on to the legacy and charm of its predecessor. The most disappointing factor out of all was storyline. Baseless and senseless and logicless. Entire movie you struggle to understand what is happening. The director also seems confuse. Randomly placed scenes give this movie a unstructured dimension. Had High Hopes and expectations from this one considering the level of promotion and offcourse the cast, but fails to engage and satisfy audience. Could have been done in a much much better manner.
Six years on from the success of the first buddy-buddy cop movie we get this follow-up, which expands the action to an international level. I felt that, on the whole, this film has the edge to its predecessor. The two main characters are back and their camaraderie feels more effortless, more natural here, and it helps that Hyun Bin's character comes across as less abrasive and more likeable too. There's a new American character who's okay, plus some returning others. You can tell that this is a bigger budget production because the action is more frequent and more explosive, while the choreography continues to impress. A slight but fun comedic thriller.
I haven't seen the original film Gongjo/Confidential Assignment, but I did hear that it was a pretty average "turn your brain off and enjoy" action flick, so I went into this with zero expectations. I was actually hooked from beginning to end, as the action scenes were surprisingly satisfying, the music during said scenes got me pumped up, and the comic relief was very tastefully done. In a nutshell, I would describe it as a cross between "The Man From Nowhere" and "Extreme Job." As those are two of my favorite Korean flicks, I enjoyed this one very much and would recommend it to all action fans who also have an interest in Korean films.
This was the type of movie I was extremely looking forward to. I really enjoyed watching the first Confidential Assignment so I was really excited for this one as well. The entire cast did an amazing job playing their characters. The chemistry between Hyun Bin, Yoo Hae Jin, and Daniel Henney was really good with their comedic acting. I was finally happy they gave Im Yoon Ah a bigger role compared to when she was in the first one because in the first one, she wasn't in it for very long and it was one her first time acting in a movie. The villain Jin Sun Kyu played was spot on and this guy showed people that he can play any type of characters. The movie was fun to watch, the action scenes were coordinated good, but I did feel like this movie focused too much on the comedy. There were some comedies that felt a bit forced and childish. Despite the forced comedies, if you want to see some buddy cop comedy action film, this movie is one of the ones to watch.
