For months, a mysterious character named The Master had been sending threats to Brian Lee (Brian Harris), along with random "followers" or "stalkers" attacking Lee during his matches. Here, The Master walked to the ring wearing a hooded cloak with Gregorian chants playing. The Master entered the ring and threw a fireball in Lee's face, and removed the cloak to reveal Kevin Sullivan. Sullivan pulled out the Golden Spike and stabbed Lee with it over and over, leaving Lee's face a bloody mess, with Sullivan's followers The Nightstalker (Bryan E. Clark II) and The Mongolian Mauler (Peter R. Miller) joining in as well. Commissioner Bob Armstrong (Joseph James) repeatedly apologized for this and announced that Sullivan was "banned for life" from appearing in SMW. This nearly cost SMW its TV show, and they spend the next month apologizing for it.. Sullivan would actually appear regularly for SMW over the next year, making his last appearance on March 10, 1994.
