Poor Herman

So honestly, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into before watching this film. I wanted something for Halloween and to get in the spirit. I put the film on thinking it would run in background on my tv, but I actually tuned into it! Okay.... was hilarious. The dynamics and girls on screen chemistry was so good. I laughed so hard. It took a darker turn later on which is evident in horror and I knew what I originally signed up for, but ultimately was engaged. It's an indie film which is impressive. I didn't know indie films could have good acting in it LMAO! They were like real good too. Definitely will watch a lot more and prob will add to Halloween binge list for future Halloweens. Herman actor did amazing job! His story was so sad and made me cringe. Def dark societal problems involved with comedic twist throughout. Satire dark comedy more than horror, to be honest. But glad I watched instead of left in background rolling.

Although the comedy was borderline ludacris and the frenemies were ditsy beyond belief, the comedic relief helped tremendously lighten up the darkness of the film.

The frenemies definitely enticed me to watch the film, but in actuality, if you really pay attention to the film, there are true underlying messages especially around Herman. I don't want to give anything away but the journey of Herman really breaks your heart, and gives a new understanding to "why" he is the way he is.

I highly recommend this film for good laughs but also to have compassion and understanding for the fellow human. You never know what someone is facing behind closed doors.

It was more than just another Halloween horror film, and carries more depth. Hilarious and raw. The whole cast was excellent. I have to scale it on the higher score of horror comedy indie films. I will definitely watch it again and recommend to others for the humor and the genuine "human" aspect.

Its def a comedy horror, with more emphasis on comedy ... the fun dry and very stupid style comedy...with more current societal issues in the film... applaud that. Main characters were fun to watch and writer made a clever script. Very impressive. Def more old school horror with the low budget indie feels...and I think its more appreciated that way. A couple sound issues on mastering areas of sound, but it could be the distribution network, etc. May have to use subtitles here and there or up/down volume when needed...still, these areas didn't take away from the good acting and narrative. Would def watch again for more laughs...

Not sure if my comment review is public or private but...Remember that one film all your friends laughed about and ruined for you before you got to see it? Napoleon Dynamite was mine. This literally could be a cult favorite like that bc has all the elements that are stupid good ... the things maybe mom and dad won't laugh at but all the kids at school think are brilliant. I just try to watch before friends do so the jokes aren't given away or ruin film for me.... Anywayz, I don't know who fav actor or actress was bc casted very clever. I even loved the shorter roles ... the bartender was so cute!! The cop and the mama ... the mama was scary good at the dark creep role. Anyways... a hilariously witty message driven indie... a must watch before your friends ruin it for you! No joke.

My thoughts ... unless you hate horror films or dark comedy, ya can't hate this film. I don't see any bad reviews yet but I'm sure they'll sneak their way in. The satire makes fun of different areas in modern society, so not any agenda or political side preference. I don't advise anyone to watch who doesn't have sense of humor or laugh at the intentionally dumb fun girls.... prob not a film for elderly or rigid or super young. A lot of swearing and suggestive behavior. I really liked this film a lot but I enjoy the humor and the characters. So only recommend to peeps who share an open minded, non "judgmental" religious or political view point... all in good humor and fun.
