This article contains spoilers for "Agatha All Along," episode 7, "Death's Hand In Mine."
"Agatha All Along" and "WandaVision" creator/showrunner Jac Schaeffer is seemingly obsessed with time. Her debut feature, "TiMER," is a sci-fi romantic comedy set in a world where a wrist implant countdown clock lets people know when they'll meet their soul mate, completely altering how people spend their time on Earth anticipating when it's time to settle down. "WandaVision" explores the way Wanda Maximoff's Westview Anomaly manipulates an entire town's sense of time through television tropes, while Agatha Harkness gets involved just to antagonize Wanda out of pettiness and a quest for power.
Now, with "Agatha All Along," Patti Lupone's Lilia Calderu has been revealed to be experiencing her life out of sequence, and her acceptance of living on a constantly jumping timeline becomes the key to understanding her tarot test while on The Witches' Road.

The Life and Deaths of Christopher Lee, written and directed by Jon Spira, is a look at one of the most iconic, versatile and conversely underrated actors in the genre.
Narrated by a marionette of the late actor, voiced quite convincingly by Peter Serafinowicz the film starts with a quick overview of Lee’s heritage and formative years that included he and his mother being abandoned by both his father and stepfather. Interviews with his niece, an award-winning actress in her own right, talk about how this influenced both his personality and the direction his life would take.
The part he played in World War II is covered as well. Although there are no new revelations of his still-classified work tracking down war criminals. Work...

A new documentary exploring the life of Superman actor Christopher Reeve is due to be released in cinemas this November. More on the film below.
Warner Bros is bringing Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve story to UK cinemas from 1st November. Directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, the film looks at Reeve’s career and life, especially after the severe accident that left the actor a quadriplegic.
The documentary will include not just never-before-seen material and Reeve’s home movies, but interviews with his colleagues and friends.
Reeve starred in four Superman films and many still consider him the definitive Man of Steel. He first appeared in 1978’s Superman, which was followed by three sequels. This was decades before Marvel Studios, so while Superman wasn’t the first comic book movie, there wasn’t really a blueprint for how to make one.

"Blood and Honey" provides a dark twist on Winnie-the-Pooh, with extreme violence and a murderous rampage by Pooh and Piglet. "Pooh's Grand Adventure" predates the horror setup of "Blood and Honey," featuring trauma and unsettling imagery in the Hundred Acre Wood. "Blood and Honey" misses the mark by abandoning the essence of the original stories, unlike "Pooh's Grand Adventure" which effectively unsettles its audience.
Although Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey made headlines for its irreverent treatment of A.A. Milne's beloved source material, the film was not the first time the franchise has veered into horror territory. The 2023 movie's premise sees beloved characters Pooh and Piglet transformed into horrific caricatures of themselves, embarking on a murderous and vengeance-fuelled rampage. While this is a far cry from Disney's child-friendly depictions of the classic characters, one earlier movie does predate Blood and Honey's horrifying setup.

During the first quarter of 2024, Malayalam cinema witnessed a remarkable resurgence. Furthermore, significant releases like ‘Abraham Ozler’ and ‘Anweshippin Kandethum’ have also managed to draw decent crowds to theaters throughout the first quarter of the year.
The industry’s films cater to a broad audience, reaping rewards for average audiences and film buffs. Once again, the Malayalam film industry shines brightly, standing tall amidst challenges faced by Bollywood and other film sectors.

Back in 2022 former freelance artist for DC Comics, Christopher Wozniak sued Warner Brothers for apparently plagiarising his work. Not long after ‘The Batman’ premiered, Wozniak expressed shock at Warner Bros., Matt Reeves, and Peter Craig, alleging they copied his story ‘The Ultimate Riddle,’ renamed ‘The Blind Man’s Hat.’ Wozniak promptly hired a lawyer, leading to a copyright infringement lawsuit dubbed “Batmangate.”
The original lawsuit, filed in October 2022, led to Warner Bros. countersuing Wozniak, arguing his story infringed on their copyright by including Batman characters without permission. Despite Wozniak’s defense, the judge ruled in DC’s favor, stating Reeves and Craig didn’t plagiarize Wozniak. Instead, Wozniak was found guilty of copyright infringement for using DC characters without authorization.
In a 45-page decision, U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer concluded that Warner Bros. and ‘The Batman’ writer/director Matt Reeves did not copy Christopher Wozniak’s story ‘The Ultimate...

Hollywood decamps for Park City this week, braving snow drifts and thin air in a quest to find the next indie breakouts, Oscar contenders and buzzy horror hits.

When the first episode of "The Twilight Zone" aired, "The Sopranos" creator David Chase was a freshman in high school. As Chase himself put it in a recent column for Variety, the show "made a mammoth impression." The series, with its bold anthology format and its love of the surreal, would go on to have a clear influence on how Chase went about his own TV show, despite its more serialized and realistic format. "The Twilight Zone" might've technically ended in 1964, but it stuck in Chase's mind long afterward.
"From the opening, where writer Rod Serling came out in his herringbone jacket with his cigarette and introduced the show: That, in itself, was entertaining," Chase wrote. "I just wanted to hear what Rod had to say about the mystery of the universe this time out." Serling was a writer with a lot to say about American culture, and despite the...

Christopher survives a terrifying tsunami incident in the show, which initially leads viewers to believe he has died. This near-death experience has a profound impact on Buck's character development, forcing him to reassess his priorities and become more responsible and emotionally intelligent. The bond between Buck and Christopher is strengthened through this ordeal, becoming a heartwarming and integral part of the show's ongoing narrative.
9-1-1 is a riveting American procedural drama series that delves into the high-pressure experiences of first responders in Los Angeles, but while the police and paramedics are the heart of the show, there's speculation over whether Christopher (Gavin McHugh) dies in 9-1-1. The show premiered on the Fox network in January 2018 and quickly garnered acclaim for its ability to weave heart-pounding action with deep emotional storylines, offering viewers a look into the challenging and heroic world of those who rush toward danger to save lives.

Even popular TV shows can disappoint fans with a bad episode, leading to confusion and frustration when reliable structures and storylines are abandoned. Poorly rated episodes often result from failed risks and experiments that disrupt the show's formula and tone, leaving viewers feeling disconnected. Mistakes in beloved shows can trigger intense backlash and occasional disappointment, leading to a decline in reputation and reduced viewer satisfaction.
Despite these popular TV shows delivering some amazing episodes week after week, it’s inevitable that a bad episode will eventually appear and disappoint fans. Even the most beloved and critically acclaimed series sometimes falter in maintaining the qualities that draw devoted viewership over multiple seasons. The tightrope balance of sticking to a successful formula, while also innovating to avoid staleness carries risk. Experiments with pacing, tone shifts, new character dynamics, or the dreaded clip show may intend to add something new to the show,...

Even if you don’t immediately recognize the name Frances Sternhagen, there’s still a good chance that you’ve seen her acting in something at some point over the decades. Sternhagen has stage and screen credits going back decades, and over that time she racked up Emmy nominations and Tony wins. Sadly, it’s being reported today that she passed away of natural causes this past Monday, at the age of 93.

Paulie's unnecessary trouble with Valery in Season 3 causes strain and consequences in his relationships with Christopher and Tony. Matthew and Sean's misguided attempt to kill Christopher in Season 2 leads to their own deaths, showing the dire consequences of crossing the mafia. Jackie Jr.'s ill-advised decision to rob Ralph's card game in Season 3 results in multiple deaths and ultimately seals his own fate in the mafia.
Part of The Sopranos' appeal is how well-developed the characters are, but even the best characters can make some of the worst decisions that have dire consequences on the show as a whole. Some of these decisions only look worse in hindsight, and some of these dumb decisions reflect how human The Sopranos' characters are. Nonetheless, these decisions factored into the story, with some of them having long-lasting consequences in what is widely recognized as one of the best TV shows of all time.

The Sopranos had many filler episodes that lacked substance and significance in the overall story, which can be boring and irrelevant to viewers. The show did not address the uncomfortable age gaps in certain romantic relationships, including older men dating much younger women, which can be uncomfortable to watch. Tony Soprano showed no remorse when indirectly hurting children, such as ruining his son's life for his own benefit, highlighting his lack of empathy and disturbing behavior.
Not many television shows can say that they changed television to the degree that The Sopranos did when it aired from 1999 to 2007, but even so, some of the show's elements are a little problematic to watch now. The Sopranos was the first modern prestige show to make its main character, mafioso Tony Soprano, an antihero. While Tony was a hardened gangster for the Dimeo family, he struggled to balance his work life with his life as a family man.

Kite-Man: Hell Yeah! — the Harley Quinn spin-off series coming to Max — will differ from its predecessor in a key way, according to storyboard artist on both DC shows Christopher Jones.
The 10-episode animated series will revolve around Harley Quinn side character Chuck Brown (Kite-Man), and will take place within the original show's universe. If the character's name sounds silly, that's because he is one of those goofy D-list villains in the vein of Condiment King or the Baffler.
Kite-Man: Hell Yeah! was originally titled Noonan's, referencing the bar that appears throughout Harley Quinn's run. In both iterations, Kite-Man would be seen working with the likes of Bane and Lex Luthor — all three of whom have appeared as relatively prominent side characters in Harley Quinn.

Box office experts David Gross and Robert Mitchell have explained why the Barbie and Oppenheimer releasing on the same day, along with online chatter of the movies going head-to-head, will benefit both films. Both Barbie and Oppenheimer will be released in theaters on July 21. Despite having very different tones, with Barbie being a comedy and Oppenheimer a drama, posts about the movies facing off at the box office have become popular online.
Speaking with The New York Times, Gross and Mitchell explain how Barbie and Oppenheimer's box office rivalry might be a good thing for both movies. They explain how, despite the contrasting tone of the movies, both films being advertised to theatergoers at the same time means the novelty of experiencing both will lead to higher success. Check out what Gross and Mitchell had to say below:

In the last three years, Joshua Jackson has played a husband and father with his home life in chaos in Little Fires Everywhere, a murderous surgeon in Dr. Death and, now, adulterer and accused murderer Dan Gallagher — the role originated by Michael Douglas in 1987’s Fatal Attraction — in the Paramount+ series adaptation of the film that debuted at the end of April.
“I don’t know what’s going on with me,” Jackson joked to THR recently. Whatever it is, he needs a break. “I’m shooting a romance right now; I needed a love story after [Dr. Death’s] Christopher Duntsch and Fatal Attraction. I needed to hold hands and make goo-goo eyes at somebody.”
That somebody would be Lauren Ridloff, whom he’s starring (and exec producing) alongside in an untitled Starz romantic drama series from Ava DuVernay (a project now temporarily on hold due to the ongoing writers strike,...

On January 1, 2022, A.A. Milne's gentle 1926 children's novel "Winnie-the-Pooh" finally entered the public domain. Previously, Disney owned the rights to the character, having owned them since 1966, and for many, Disney's rendition of the little stuffed teddy bear had become the character's pop culture standard. Few characters in children's literature are as gentle and as guileless as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Disney's version merely amped up the saccharine sweetness. Milne's conceit is that Pooh and his stuffed animal compatriots may be imagined by their owner, a 6-year-old British boy named Christopher Robin, and their conversations are whimsically circular and not terribly deep.
Naturally, when Pooh became the property of the people, the first thing filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield wanted to do was to make an ultra-violent horror movie, with everyone favorite silly ol' bear as a bloodthirsty, murderous hillbilly. The resulting film is just as stupid as one might expect.
