The airport scenes for New York were filmed at London Stansted Airport during January 2021.
In 2014, Hailee Steinfeld was cast to play the lead character, Hadley, in Hollywood's first attempt to adapt the young adult novel, *The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight*. Nine years later, Steinfeld's The Edge of Seventeen (2016) co-star, Haley Lu Richardson, takes on the role of Hadley in the Netflix film.
