The production values of this film NEEYAT were extremely
poor and so was the quality of the acting of the entire star cast includingVidya Balan and especially Rahul Bose. It was like watching a primary school play on a giant sized screen.
Ram Kapoor was an absolute misfit as his personality was absolutely zero and his acting was 1000 times worse than that. Vidya Balan was a faint shadow of her normal brilliant self. Rahul Bose's character was extremely weak and thus his acting was way. Over the top. Everything about this movie was substandard. Definitely not worth watching in the cinema!

It is good thriller, mystery, movie to enjoy with family, the move feel little slow in first half ,but the end has given a good twist ,
The starting of movie gives you the knives out feel ,they have shown all the relationship of victim and given everyone a good reason to kill the victim, the Vidya Balan acting is awesome like always ,we your finding a good thriller ,mystery movie to watch with your family with not much stress then this is the movie for you ,the story shown is good enough to make you hold for next 2 hours 15 minutes ,some characters should given have a good background story ,it is descent movie.
When you have a script ready of legends like Agatha christie all u need is a genuine approach to the plot, but seeking the inspiration the director try to play over smart with a new idea of shadowing the detective characters with cheap flash back and keeping multiple twist and turns towards the climax which spoils the plot...
Seashore Castle, thunder storm, potential cast and crews sidelined by brilliant camera and some Crispy editing too are wasted efforts die to the oversmart approach of the director...
And even after post credit the plot hints a sequel possibilty of another cat and mouse game which is not necessary either...
Overall a onetime passable flick.
Review:
Neeyat, directed by Anu Menon, is a Hindi film streaming on Amazon Prime Vedeo, an inspiration from Agatha Christie mysteries and Rian Johnson's Knives Out movie.
Elements of this movie is Mystery suspense & drama.
Anu Menon tried to make this film for mass appeal, with Vidya Balan in the lead role, supported by talented actors Ram Kapoor, Neeraj Kabi, Rahul Bose, Shefali Shah in a cameo role , Shasank Arora, Nikki Walia & Prajakta Koli a popular YouTuber. Despite all capable actors, reinvention of the mystery in a gathering genre, is not so impactful. It should have been delivered with more brilliance.
Niyat is not a well-crafted movie. Vidya Balan fails to make her impact, rather Rahul Bose steals the shows. Resembling Ram Kapoor as a Vijay Mallya is good.
Location is something awesome with beautiful Camera work.
On the whole, despite too many loopholes this Film engaged you throughout. Theme song is well composed with good lyrics.
My rating is 2.5 out of 5.

This is as bad as anything I've ever seen. Horrid characters, production design and writing. Why did Vidiya agree to doing this garbage? Who's funding this garbage and why?
What a terrible mix of characters, the narrator is literally reading out who they are without any effort being put into establishing them. The casting is one of the worst I've ever seen.
If knifes out had a bad hangover after drinking desi daru this would be it.
I really hope someone at Amazon puts in more effort on the content instead of this garbage.
Watch it at your own risk and keep some alcohol nearby because it's going to be needed.
