I dont know why i like this show, but i watch it anyways every time appears on tv. Theres something fun and dramatic about watching a family in a bussiness where the catch is sometimes hard to find.
Maybe i like dramas because i am adept, also i like boats, so is easy to me to watch this. Lets just say that is pretty easy, and ironicly i started watching those boat shows when i was waiting new bitchin rides episodes. Theres something about the photography, is so good, the landscapes, the people dramas in the sea...is easy for me to watch.i know if bitchin rides someday stops, or theres a whole season to wait, i can watch those episodes. Are fun.besides cars, i love boats.and dramas never bore me.

Just like every other Deadlist Catch show, this one has the built in drama. Just like the original or Bloodline etc... everyone is stressed out, overworked, in a time crunch, boats in need of repair, someone is injured and so on..then, by the end of the show, all is well. Sig and Jake deserve Oscars for their performances. Jake acts like he's randomly visiting long lost family, and they act surprised to see him, but there's 3 cameramen filming as he drives up to the hidden cottage in rural Norway. Then Jake is driving away, and a family member chases him (but the cameras are still in the driveway) and Jake is handed a family heirloom. It's so staged it's really difficult to watch sometimes.

Really love this new series, I like the new adventures and new markets and fresh seas. Mandy and Jake make this show so much better than when Sig and Wild Bill came during the regular show last season. I'm hoping we can see them update the boats to work more efficiently for volume crab fishing rather than using the make-shift workarounds they have now. I think updating the boats would add an extra dimension to the show where the Norwegien fishermen are also adapting, not just the US fishermen. I really like seeing Mandy & Jake working on the businesses side making deals rather than just fishing.
