Basically, the roles of but with a better storyline but still there is a correlation with the main part,, of course with 2 artists not mentioned above as irreplaceable actors,, I personally like Kirty Shuresh's acting..., Keerthy Suresh, liven up the storyline of this 2024 Siren film. The plot twist is not bad. Even though he succeeded in getting his revenge, the actor was still sentenced to prison for who knows how long. I hope there will still be a part 2 for this film. One of the song lyrics brings back the colonial mindset & apologetic nature of minority following crowd. While the direction focussed on pleasing a specific subset of the population , enforcing the evils of caste, creed & religion, it forgot to look at its own.
Overall Jayam Ravi is betting his career on such movies that will drag him down and leave him as a clown who could not see where he was being dragged to. Storyline and screenplay was a slow drag, neither action nor dialogues have made a mark, the repetitive mention of word caste shows the sad ignorant state of the group that worked on this movie.

An action thriller movie with popular leads is certainly a factor that can allure viewers. This movie is about a convict, Thilakan, who is out on parole to avenge his wife's death by going on a killing spree. A defamed lady cop is in charge of the case, and she must nab the criminal before it's too late.
The plot setting is nice, featuring not only thrill and action elements but also themes of family values, a father yearning for his daughter's love, and an emotional husband. These aspects ground the story and make viewers more invested in the characters. The biggest flaw with the movie is the portrayal of the lady cop as a buffoon. Despite being depicted as a smart and honest officer, she can't crack the case or do much of anything. The criminal is shown to be far superior, achieving whatever he seeks. There should have been a balance between the characters.
Jayam Ravi, playing the roles of a father, husband, son, and death god for his enemies, performs earnestly. His character transition from a young age to old is apparent in his appearance, but the nuanced differences required for such a transition are missing. Keerthy Suresh, as the honest officer, plays her part well, but the story lets her down as she has little to perform. Samuthirakani, in a negative role, plays his part decently. Tulasi is brilliant in her portrayal of the mother, and you will definitely relate to her. Anupama Parameswaran, in a cameo, is decent.
The movie has its highs in terms of how Thilakan finds ways to kill his enemies, maintaining intrigue about his next step. However, the songs are mediocre and merely add to the length. The action sequences could have been much better and do not do justice to the movie.
With more substance given to the lady cop and more nail-biting moments, it could have been a 10 out of 10. Nevertheless, it is a decent thriller that can be watched with family. #pranureviews #Siren108 #Siren108Review.

Anthony Bhagyaraj's "Siren" stars Jayam Ravi as a murder-convict visiting his family on Parole, during when a string of murders begin to happen. Suspicion falls on him and we start to learn more about his past, and his connection to the murders.
It's a pretty decent premise honestly, as it has the bones with which you could craft a compelling movie, but the way it has been handled here is just terrible. The screenplay and the direction all come across extremely amateur and without any focus. The movie is structurally a mess, where the first half has hints of the hero's past; through which we can already piece together most of what might have happened. And when the flashback does eventually roll around (extremely late into the movie too), it feels pointless and adds nothing that we didn't already figure out, and we're left sitting around waiting for it to end. Same goes for the various sub-plots introduced; that with Keerthi Suresh and the character of Ravi's daughter. None of them lead anywhere and to the extent it tries, it feels incredibly rushed. The final 45 minutes of the movie are pure idiocy. Some of the worst irrational decisions ever made on screen, right there in front of you. It's as if the movie ran out of ideas and just went with the first thing they could think of.
But it's not like the movie is without its positives, as it is quite entertaining thanks to the premise, and the tension and suspense is handled rather well. The movie definitely had potential, but unfortunately the best it wanted to settle with was sub-par writing and mindless directing.

Last scene of killing a police officer is useless. He drops the ambulance somewhere whereas keerthi is just near the temple.
When keerti reaches the house RAVI has already taken bath. If Keerthi wants to find the truth why can't she just search the bathroom for evidence.
So many flaws in the entire movie.
Also one more thing. The director is misusing so many concepts. He is a Christian and how come he knows about caste problems in Hindu society.
Why can't he keep a fight scene with blood in Church.
Don't just take move with wrong conclusions. Still am saying it again. Mr Antony your movie is an absolute waste. Respect both the movie watchers and the religion sentiments.
