When watching this film, I actually did not know that this film was actually a remake version of a Korean film with the same title. I've watched the original film. The original movie is one of my favorites. I watched it several times and i deeply moved and touched by it even after watching several time.
Obviously when compared, this film is clearly not as good as the original film. What make the original version is so good is the chemistry between main protagonist. The problem is, it looks like this film copy the original film too closely but with lower quality in every aspect. The chemistry between the main protagonist is mediocre, the visual effects also seem cheap, the boxing scenes are also look stilted, and the ending scene is not touching at all like the original film. But overall, the movie isn't that bad. Especially knowing that this film was produced by Vivamax. So far Vivamax is widely known for its films that contain a lot of erotic scenes.
As conclusion, if you haven't watch the original, i recommend you to just watch the original. It's far better in every aspect.

The love story that developed between the two orphans Lino and Anna may seem simple and straightforward at the start. Anna's relentless positive attitude in life despite her blindness was eventually able to draw a pessimistic miserable Lino from out of the dark shadow cast on his life. However, being an adaptation from a Korean film, there would of course be a major complicating twist to elevate the story up another level of emotional punch.
I had not seen the original film, but on its own, this Filipino version, despite some errors in continuity, medical inaccuracies and a rather overlong ending melodrama, succeeds because of star power and dramatic chops of the two lead stars Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. Their irresistible chemistry sweeps absorbs the audience into their bittersweet love story. Chiu is effortlessly delightful. Lim is impressive in the way he took on grueling physicality of his role.
