Clear and artfully presented argument for film incentives in New Mexico

This is not a political film. This is a film about people, place and love of an industry that brings so much more TO than it takes FROM the economy and the cultural landscape of New Mexico. NM created an opportunity in 2001-2004 when it launched the film industry rebate program and small filmmaker loan fund, an opportunity that has brought over 4 BILLION dollars into the New Mexico economy. An opportunity that has spurred formation of film schools, studio warehouses, and thousands of support business's. Now "certain" political forces are killing this green, sustainable, creative, forward thinking industry by attempting to repealing the rebate program and limiting the loan fund.

This film tells the story of NM film making in a beautiful, touching, and easy way by concentrating on family, culture, history, art, and the local economic impact of small local business in places like Carrizozo, NM - where film industry dollars actually renovated an entire main street and continue to bring tourist dollars to a once dying town.
