First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the tv show I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was a nice tv show and I enjoyed it. The plot of the tv show was interesting and mysterious, but not innovative because there are too many shows similar to this one. The storyline was well-written, well-explained and easy to understand. The characters of the show were interesting, well-developed and likeable (except, the bad guys). The casting was nice and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it was an intense show, suspenseful and enjoyable. In my opinion, the final three episodes were probably the best part of the show. The plot twist was definitely unpredictable and I really liked it. The killcount of the show was bloody and some death scenes were brutal. Also, the cinematography and the score of the show were both very well done. Overall, "Stay Close" was a nice mystery/thriller tv show, intense and I would probably recommend it to my friends.
How many ex spies/assassins/trained killers/hookers/ mob enforcers are there in your PTA meeting? If television and mystery writers are to be believed, there are thousand of them picking up young Madison or Dakota from soccer practice right now. They are just hiding their pasts until some hapless yokel attacks them, and out comes the karate and the gun slinging.
In this case, Megan is happily ensconced in her new life as a mother and wife when she gets a visit from an old friend. The audience only has to wait one episode before Megan beats the crap out of a couple of bad guys and two episodes before she meets up with the delightful Eddie Izard as one of her old running buddies.
Unfortunately, there isn't enough Eddie Izard to.get over all the cliches that drag this series. The rest of it bounces between "predictable" and "why am I wasting my time?"
Although the acting was fine, the whole show was so blandly familiar that I gave up.
The "5" is for any series with Eddie.

It was rather enjoyable with all the twists & turns, which got better with each episode.
I do feel a few characters/actors,could of been differently cast.
However overall the storylines, acting, cinematography was decently done.
It is worth a watch! Find these foreign based shows, rather more intriguing than american.

I've read a few reviews on here. Read them whilst watching. It nearly put me off finishing this especially as in the earlier episodes it did lag slightly. As you get further on towards the end it does get your attention and you do keep watching because you simply have to know what's happened. When you find out what's happened you'll be surprised. Certainly never guessed any of that ending at all.
Good strong cast. Good strong performances. You do invest yourself in James Nesbitt and Sarah Parish in particular.
The two 'killing eve' types are certainly frightening to watch if not very clever.
Worth a binge if you like mystery who done it.

What a terrible piece of drama. Nothing but cliche after cliche - totally unrealistic and unbelievable nonsense. Not even well acted. Complete waste of my time and Netflix money.
