Sexta-Feira 13 - A Vingança De Jason

The Jason mythology is still here. His mother is still involved, and we see a little of Jason´s early days before what happend i dig that a lot, always wanted to see more of the town, the town folks talking about him, from what i´ve seen, everybody knows about him in this movie, but nobody goes to crystal lake anymore because they know that is cursed, only the teenagers venture there to die.

It doesn´t have a lot of killing like the original movies but it has a good premise, jumping from place to place and see Jason stalking the lake in search for victims, like a normal day in his life.

Good cast, good effects, good story = it´s 9 for me.

This is the definition of a good slasher. Let's stop praising the old series for a little bit and start apreciating the new one, as a low budget and fan film, it manages to do well, it builds on the origin Jason story with is mother´s death, and here they used the bag on Jason´s head, that was a very different approach because it brings some mystery to the movie, the cast did a good job, the killings were fine, and the story is good.

The guy that plays Jason does an incredible job, because is menacing and full of rage in his eyes, i would see more movies like this one, instead of the hockey mask, that every now and then, they make a new movie and it´s always the same.

I will certainly watch it again.

The body count begins on this one, with a good pace.

We see the origin story again, in a more profund way, with lots of background about the town, his neighbours and mom.

The soundtrack is impressive for a short movie like this The pratical effects are well done.

This is a solid film in the franchise and would recommend horror fans to watch it.

The cast did an amazing job.

Once again, I love the aesthetic of the film, and think the campground setting is effective, putting the audience in there with Jason as we see with happens next, when he is face to face with the final girl.

I found her character to be more fleshed out, than others of the franchise.

For a short fan movie this one is a must have.

I say that, of course, in reference to the expected quality of a movie like this. In general, horror movies are bad, but this one was a relief, it builds on the origin story of Jason and brings back the goods, but...it´s a short movie, i would really like to see a full feature to see what ideas could they develop from this, seeing Jason with the bag head brings me back to friday the 13th part 2, when the story starts to develop in a good way, here we see lots of information about the town, the people, Jason´s life when he was still a child, i dig that a lot, this movie just doesn´t have the amount of gore and violence of the franchise, but still i liked it, for what it is.

What they deliver is a good installment, one of the best fan films outhere.

They were smart has they introduce Jason as a child and the town folks talking about him and his mother.

Then a few years later we see a couple back in camp blood, only to be slashed by Jason who is back from the grave.

As a fan film It does however achieve its primary goals well, it is scary and it is fun.

The soundtrack is good, the make up effects too.

We also get a final girl that is quite clever.

It's solid entertainment that you don't have to take seriously, despite the macabre subject matter.

It´s amazing fun at camp blood with Jason.
