Front Row

Edit
Jones Television could not continue to produce the show after Producer/Director Jerry Oliver left. In fact, the entire studio shut down less than a year after his departure. On the show's MySpace page, it is noted that 12 bands were ready to participate in Season Seven (Wade Ogle, Chase Missy, Army of Birds, Tiffany Christopher, Cletus Got Shot, The Plaid Jackets, Dreamfast!, Paul Boatwright, American Princes, Cindy Woolf, Matt Smith Trio and Groovement) and an additional 17 bands were negotiating for upcoming shows (Dave Baer, Rochelle, Memphis Pencils, Ben Miller Band, Deas Vail, Spoken, Kingsdown, Jarris, Chase Pagan, Grand Serenade, Joe Purdy, Pope County Bootleggers, Cory Lamb, Ben Rector, the Smithstonians and Surf De Soleil).
Only three original episodes aired without interviews. "The Good Fear" asked they not do an interview in exchange for performing an extra song. "3 Penny Acre" where an interview was shot, but complications between the band forced its removal, and "Solomon's Vine" where the band broke up, partly because of the recording of the episode in 2007. The footage was put together for a show in 2010 when news got out it would be the last season.
The Cate Brothers and Trout Fishing in America were asked to participate on the show during Season One. Both bands had the same manager who cited the "amateur" studio as a reason they would not perform on the show. During Season Six, the manager asked if both bands could participate in upcoming episodes, the Producer said neither band was "relevant" anymore.
