I don't know the actors in the cast except Matthew Fox ,but they seem to have a lot of chemistry. Four Australian soldiers sent on a mission to a war-torn country are captured by freedom fighters and produce a hostage video that goes viral.
Caught is a nice, funny and dynamic comedy. I don't agree with anyone who says it's terrible. I am very happy to see Matthew Fox again in his new series, always a great professional actor who does not deny himself. He deserves everything he didn't get in the past.
Finally Fox in another version .He is versatile. I hope he will have good projects .Good Promotion .Stanoriginals has Big jobs.

I was really looking forward to this show based on the trailer, but wow, was that trailer misleading.
We barely made it to episode 4 (mind you, this was against the will of the majority of our household who wanted us to stop at the end of ep 2) but we had to switch it off at that point. The acting was just awful throughout, genuinely really hard to watch and some of the scenes were incredibly tone deaf. The attempted humour missed the mark on nearly every occasion.
Overall it was just pretty poor and not entertaining at all. The cameos were weird & didn't add anything except make me wonder how they got roped into it.
I wouldn't even normally bother with a review for something I didn't like, but this was so annoyingly bad I was still resentful of the time I wasted watching it hours later so yeah, that's how this review came about.

Between Karl having his fat head in the shots and poor Sean Penn (how did they manage to sell this 💩 to him to be in appearance) comedy show that wasn't even funny in the first 10 minutes let alone entirety of the program- with poor acting and writing why on earth is Australia and Stan promoting this garbage.
Low IQ humour that's outdated and only a bogan would still find funny, with cringe acting with a poor script and forced humour is the go to now it seems for streaming services and their promoted shows, this is an embarrassment and not funny at all but again it's rare to find decent content in streaming services nowadays.

I am surprised at all the negativity about a series which is obviously a send-up, hence the corny (bad) acting and often silly scenes. However, it is often a lot of fun (with some laugh out loud moments), and yes, some scenes are in bad taste (but these are in the minority). The "downunder" actors Bryan Brown, Erik Thomson and Lincoln Younes are particularly funny in their "against type" roles, and the inclusion of American stars, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Nicholas Hammond, and Matthew Fox, make the series attractive to international audiences. I hope that if there is a DVD version it includes outtakes, as I suspect the cast found it hard not to break into laughter during the filming of most scenes.
Stan has been plugging this pretty hard boasting that it's biggest cast for a Stan Original. Although this maybe factual, it doesn't really distract for the mediocrity of this comedy & that most appearances are more cameo roles.
Watched the entirety of the six episodes to offer up a honest review rather than seemingly being a 'hater.' Unfortunately, this didn't offer up any better insight into any probability that it would improve. The none-to-subtle association with Channel Nine with Karl Stefanovic & A Current Affair appearances made it all seem a bit more cringe, on top of the already crass nature of this production.
Only wish Australian comedies were a little more thought provoking & a little less obnoxious & obvious with their stylings. Honestly, if they only reigned Kick Gurry a little more & reduced this down to a film rather than a six-part series, it may have been more endearing.
4/10 for the effort & not the execution.

- TriviaAll of the writing on Behati Prinsloo is English upside down - the sign behind them in the hostage video reads "With the flower goes the bee!" And most other signs are simply the object they are on, e.g. "Toilet" and "Well".
