![THE CAREGIVER is a psychological thriller cloaked under the chilling romance between an injured athlete and his caregiver. Agustin, a young 'sepaktakraw' player, is badly injured in one of his tournament games causing paralysis in his lower part of the body. He is nursed by his caregiver, Carlito. The two, however, develop an unlikely attraction for each other. Things get complicated as Carlito is set to marry his girlfriend and Agustin's former lover comes back for his attention. In this whirlwind chilling romance, Carlito discovers his true self, shedding his skin like a deadly viper.
The chemistry between the lead actors---Agustin, played by Philippine soap star Marcus Madrigal and Carlito, commercial actor Josh Deocareza known in the Philippine Theater for his unique interpretation of The Little Prince---takes The Caregiver in a whimsical romantic air with slow churn tense build up to the climactic ending.
