Ali saves a young woman, Defne, from a storm in the ocean. She pretends to have amnesia, but she is hiding secrets. Ali is a widower who moved in with his father in law and two children. He allows Defne to stay at his family's hotel. Ozan, the person that Defne deceived and stole a bag from, is after her. She is determined to recover the bag from the ocean, with the help of her close friend, Murat.

Ozan continues to pretend he is Defne's lover in order to deceive Ali, and threatens her in order to force her to return his bag. Defne and Murat go on a trip to see the area that the bag is hidden. Ali becomes suspicious of Defne.

Ali and his friend Hasan are having serious legal problems for a crime they are not guilty of. Defne and Murat are forced to leave the village. They sneak off with faulty diving equipment on an attempt to recover the lost bag. They are unsuccessful, and have a car accident on the way back. Ali's son has a fever and is taken to the same hospital as Murat. He realizes that he is being too harsh on his family and on Defne, so he invites Defne and Murat to stay indefinitely at their hotel. It is revealed at the hospital that Murat suffers from a disease that he must have expensive treatment for. This is what drives Defne to recover the money. Ozan continues to harass Defne for his lost treasure.

Ali has taken the golden bag that can play a crucial role in his case by turning Defne and Ozan upside down. Defne is now obliged to take this bag from Ali and bring it to Ozan under Ozan's threat. On the night of the concert organization that the young people plan to organize by bringing a famous music group, Defne looks for an opportunity to achieve her goal and accesses a secret about Ali that no one knows. Ozan, on the other hand, pulls Defne's strings. While Defne is stuck between Ali and Ozan, she is on the verge of making an unwanted decision for Murat.

Serhat, who owns a hotel in the town and pretends to be Ozan's partner, takes Salih's debts on himself and starts to use these debts as leverage against Salih. On Ozan's advice, Serhat puts the family in trouble and gives Salih time to pay his debts. However, the money in Salih's bank account has been withdrawn. Ali takes steps to solve the situation in Salih's account at the bank. As Defne accompanies him, they find themselves in the middle of a big slander. Ozan, who has made Ali a target, learns the secret about Ali's past. The cards between Ali and Ozan will be redistributed.

Ali and Defne go to Yasemin's home, find her unconscious and bleeding. Serhat follows, walks in on them. Police suspect Ali. He is acquitted when Yasemin testifies. Deniz confesses to her father. Ali and Defne get closer. Ozan sees them.

Ozan threatens Defne after he sees her kissing Ali. Azra suggests that her family rent a local cafe to prevent it from being sold to Serhat. While Defne is on the boat with Ozan and Ricardo, Murat tries to steal the gold bars from Tuna.

After Ozan poisoned his guest, they went to the hospital for treatment. Ricardo is in critical condition. Murat tried to escape with Defne along with the gold bars, but was stopped by Tuna. Ali suspects Ozan for the attempted murder. Arda, while on a school trip to the forest, got lost.

Ali decides to confront Ozan. He will give Ozan the briefcase he has and in return he will get the necessary information about his case. However, Azra and her friends secretly take the car in which the gold is hidden for fun, and they unknowingly find themselves in a great adventure on this car trip. Defne, on the other hand, is cornered with the progression of Murat's illness. For this reason, Defne gets desperate and initiates an action that will deal a terrible blow to Ali.

Defne saves Ali and Hasan by copying a flash drive which was hidden under the gold bars. With Murat's help, they are able to retrieve the critical info. Defne plans to leave with Murat to seek medical treatment. Ali wants her to stay.

Murat opens up to Azra; both are smitten. Azra stresses over how to justify this to her friend, Elif. Defne decides to stay in town longer. Hasan's kindness touches Zehra's heart. Ali learns that Ozan targets Ramazdan and Salih.

Ali is convinced that Salih is in grave danger when he sees Ozan focusing on Salih, just as he thought. In order to protect his family and loved ones, Ali sets up the game against Ozan again. As Defne is cornered about Murat, things take an unexpected turn. While Azra and Murat want to hide their relationship, Aykut learns about the secret love and plans to bring it to light. Ali's step towards Ozan will cause the big secret to come to light at the end of the day. Nothing will ever be the same again.
