Yes, this is a mildly faith-based movie but it doesn't pound religion towards the viewer. It is clean, no bad language, no guns, no sex, all of which makes a refreshingly entertaining movie. Some of the dialog is substandard, some of the acting substandard, but that doesn't really matter in this story. My wife and I enjoyed it, at home on DVD from our public library.
The lead is Sarah Fisher as London Quinn, she is a happy and curious young lady, living at home to save money so that she can build her dream home. It helps that her friend from childhood is Jake Allyn as architect Dawson Gage. It is clear that he would like more from the relationship but she treats him almost like a brother.
A tragedy happens and it comes to light that London's mom and dad had a second invitro embryo that may or may not have become a brother or sister of London's some 20+ years ago, so much of the story involves that hunt for a possible sibling.
We found some things puzzling and realize that, in real life, what they did would be difficult, but hey, it is a fictional story so we just went with it.
Interestingly to us, Lynn Collins who plays London's mother Louise Quinn, grew up near us and went to Klein High School, just a few miles away. She doesn't have the recognition of many 40-something actresses but she is very good in the role.
Also Sarah Fisher is an accomplished songwriter and singer and does a short duet with her dad in the movie, but if one were to look her up online would find out her grandmother was an opera singer and young Ms Fisher does a rendition of "Think of Me" from "Phantom" and she does it better than some of the singers who have starred as Christine.

I personally loved this movie. I loved the book and thought I'm a firm believer of book over movie this movie did a wonderful job of making me evaluate that view. The actors were great and the directing was phenomenal. I loved Andi and Dawson and thought their love story was beautiful. The family dynamics were real, raw, and very well done. It was so cool to see things in my own hometown and the scenes from Smith Lake were beautiful. All of the music was wonderfully chosen. It is the tiniest bit fast paced on parts that needed to be drawn out. Yet, way too slow on parts that needed to be faster. Regardless, a wonderful movie with the cutest dog: Toby!! This is a refreshing clean movie that is a definitely go see!!

Romance. Christian. Cheesy but sweet! Not for everyone, but if you enjoy Hallmark flicks (and Christian films), you'll probably enjoy this IMHO. Really liked Jake Allyn (as Dawson) He said a lot with his eyes and body language, and he's adorable. I wish the writing, directing and acting were stronger, but it got a little better as it went along. And there were definitely plot holes, especially in regards to HIPAA (releasing health info to others). This is adapted from a Karen Kingsbury book (Christian author) and this is the first of her books that she produced under her own production company. I think the director/co-writer, and some other people that contributed to the film, are related to Mrs. Kingsbury as well. Definitely wouldn't give it a 9 or 10, but it doesn't deserve a 1 or 2 either IMHO! (5 from my hubby, 6 from me...but I do enjoy Hallmark movies...LOL)
Why was the biological dad not more apart of the story! He certainly should have been! She was so focused of the sister, mother, boyfriend... it truly never recognized her father! Instead it seemed to discount his opinion and presence ant every turn! He should have been included in the decision making and the reconnecting of Andi! Over all the story was good. It just need the father to be included. So, I guess I'll need to keep typing for this review to be included in the over all assignment! Which, I might add, is ridiculous. But, the powers that may be say so, so here it is! Thank you for you time!
With all the turmoil going on in this world we now live in, it was quite refreshing to see a nice change of pace with this movie . It's heartfelt touching on love, tragedy and faith. It is a nice combination of the three. There is definitely a religious Christian vibe to this flick, but it in no way force feeds an agenda. I personally enjoyed the Christian aspect but for those who are not interested in it, it should in no way interfere with the overall theme of the movie. What's very impressive is that the movie is considered "low budget" but by no means was it apparent. Highly recommend spending a few hours watching to escape the reality of everyday life.
